• You will be responsible for carrying out all necessary work involved in oxy-acetylene flame straightening using modern techniques
• You will be responsible for the professional execution of all tasks involved in straightening walls and decks
• You will actively support the team in the preheating and upsetting of components, including the installation of loops
• You will carry out flame straightening work, including some welding, with the support of a crane and a ladder
• You will also be responsible for the technical supervision of apprentices and work experience students within your own pay band
• Where required, you will also provide flexible and proactive support to other specialist departments across the entire shipyard
• You will check the processed components for dimensional accuracy and correct alignment
• You will ensure the safe and proper handling of cutting equipment and filler materials throughout the entire work process

• You have successfully completed a technical apprenticeship as a design fitter (m/f/d), metalworker (m/f/d) or metal fitter (m/f/d)
• You already have some solid initial professional experience in flame straightening or metalworking
• You have good to very good written and spoken German skills to ensure smooth communication
• In your day-to-day work, you are characterised by an extremely precise, consistently goal-oriented and independent approach
• You are completely reliable, energetic and thoroughly enjoy working as part of a supportive team
• You are flexible and willing to step in to support other specialist departments within the shipyard when required
• You hold a valid work permit and are permanently resident in Germany for this position
