• You will plan and organise national and international transport by lorry, rail, ship or aeroplane
• You will coordinate drivers and subcontractors and arrange routes, collections and deliveries with them
• You will obtain freight quotations from carriers and transport partners and compare them
• Based on the quotations obtained, you will calculate prices and prepare quotations for customers
• You will monitor ongoing shipments and track their transport status
• You actively keep customers informed about the status of their shipments and act as their point of contact for any enquiries
• In the event of delays or damage in transit, you develop solutions and initiate appropriate measures
• You prepare and check transport, customs and accompanying documents such as CMR, waybills and export documents
• You issue invoices to customers and check incoming invoices from carriers for accuracy
• You will handle claims and insurance cases from the initial report through to settlement
• You will carefully maintain all relevant order and consignment data in the transport management or ERP system

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a freight forwarding clerk (m/f/d), a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or a transport services clerk (m/f/d)
• You have experience in the planning and handling of national and international transport operations
• You have knowledge of preparing transport and customs documents such as CMR, consignment notes and export documents
• You are confident in calculating costs and are experienced in handling quotations and invoices
• You are confident in using ERP and transport management systems, as well as MS Office
• You work meticulously and in a structured manner, and are able to maintain an overview even when handling multiple shipments simultaneously
• You excel in communication and are solution-oriented when dealing with customers, drivers and subcontractors
• You are reliable and keep a cool head in the event of delays or damage
