Job description
- You are responsible for planning and organising national and international transports for the company, taking into account all necessary requirements for special transports requiring approval worldwide
- In addition, you are responsible for the preparation of all shipping and accompanying documents and for the consistent implementation of modern logistics concepts, efficient transport strategies and punctual schedules
- In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating external suppliers, specialised freight forwarders and internal departments and ensure smooth processing within the various project teams through your interface function
- Monitoring the international flow of goods is also one of your tasks, You will professionally take care of the complete customs clearance in the area of import and export as well as document management
- As part of your job, you will support the control of the forwarding services provided and independently take over the checking and final approval of all incoming freight invoices for the logistics projects
- Finally You are responsible for providing our customers with expert advice on logistics issues and are competent in the detailed calculation of complex logistics services and the preparation of customised offers
- In addition, you monitor all delivery dates and ensure strict adherence to specified budgets through your structured actions, high quality standards, fixed deadlines and all relevant compliance requirements
Requirements
- You have completed training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d) and successfully completed specialist further training
- In addition, you have relevant professional experience in operational logistics planning, ideally with sound knowledge in the field of freight forwarding, logistics services or especially in the demanding transport of heavy goods
- You are characterised by your sound knowledge of comprehensive customs clearance for import and export, especially in tariff classification, document verification and communication with customs authorities
- You have a native level of written and spoken German and a fluent command of English, which is essential for internal and external communication with all project participants
- You have a valid work permit and permanent residence in Germany, to be able to carry out the diverse activities within the logistics projects at any time without any legal restrictions
- Furthermore, you have a high degree of analytical and structuring skills and impress with a systematic way of working and a pronounced solution orientation when faced with technical or process-related challenges
- Finally, you are personally very flexible and work with great care, high self-motivation and a strong team spirit in order to always reliably achieve the set goals in terms of quality, adherence to deadlines and budget specifications
