Health and Safety Manager (m/f/d)

• You have a degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Engineering (m/f/d) and, ideally, an additional qualification as an Occupational Safety Specialist (m/f/d)
• You also have several years’ professional experience in the field of occupational safety and environmental management, preferably gained within the plastics processing industry
• You stand out for your solid knowledge of standard MS Office applications, as well as your proficiency in using modern management systems and auditing tools
• You have native-level written and spoken German, as well as a good command of English for international communication
• Furthermore, you possess excellent communication skills and the ability to assert yourself when dealing with various stakeholders
• Finally, you are highly organised and always work analytically, in a structured manner and completely independently in your day-to-day tasks
• To fulfil this position of responsibility, in addition to your specialist expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be permanently resident in Germany

• You will assume overall responsibility for health and safety at work and support the management team in defining long-term health and safety objectives
• You will also be responsible for ensuring consistent compliance with all internal company and statutory requirements relating to health, safety and environmental protection
• You will also oversee the professional conduct of risk assessments, regular safety inspections and qualified hazardous substance assessments at the site
• Your responsibilities will also include the development and ongoing implementation of effective preventive measures to promote a culture of safety in practice on a sustainable basis
• As part of your role, you will provide expert support to all internal and external contacts on all future-oriented EHS issues
• Furthermore, you will assist with the preparation of internal and external audits and analyse accidents and near-misses to derive appropriate measures
• Finally, you will be responsible for coordinating hazardous substances management, including maintaining the hazardous substances register and drawing up practical operating instructions
