For our client, a global logistics and supply chain solutions company in Halberstadt, we are looking for you as Incoming Goods Clerk (m/f/d) as part of direct placement.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the comprehensive checking of all incoming freight documents and delivery notes and ensure complete documentation of all goods movements within the internal logistics systems
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the precise initial entry of all delivery notes in the IT system and ensure that all data is provided correctly for subsequent processes
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for instructing incoming lorry drivers on local conditions, that all data is provided correctly for the subsequent processes
  • In addition, you will be responsible for briefing the arriving lorry drivers on the local conditions on site and coordinating the smooth allocation to the designated unloading gates
  • Your tasks will also include greeting visitors in a friendly manner and formally registering them, whereby you always act as a competent contact person for all arriving guests
  • as part of your job, you support the continuous monitoring of data transmissions and ensure compliance with all internal quality standards in day-to-day operations through your careful working methods
  • finally, you are responsible for communication with the drivers and internal departments and thus contribute significantly to an efficient process within the entire incoming goods logistics

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or office management clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the area of incoming goods or logistics management, which gives you an in-depth understanding of all operational processes
  • You have a sound knowledge of common MS Office applications and ideally some practical experience of working with SAP in your day-to-day work
  • Written and spoken German at native speaker level and a good basic knowledge of English are essential for communicating with international drivers:
  • Furthermore, you bring a high degree of time flexibility and a strong ability to work in a team in order to always keep a cool head even in stressful situations
