Job description

  • You will operate and continuously develop the asset management system, including the associated processes and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), to ensure an up-to-date and consistent asset database
  • You will be responsible for the lifecycle management of hardware, software and licences, and you will ensure transparency regarding lifecycle risks and the resulting actions required.
  • As the business owner, you will assume technical responsibility for the i-doit CMDB and drive its strategic and operational development
  • You will identify technical requirements, prioritise them and coordinate them closely with specialist departments and asset owners – including when integrating new business units and asset classes, with an appropriate roles and authorisations framework
  • You will independently identify, design and oversee automation solutions to improve data quality and process efficiency
  • You integrate security requirements into the CMDB and, based on ISMS and BSI IT-Grundschutz, ensure transparency regarding hardening levels and compliance status – supplemented by the further development of Splunk dashboards and reporting solutions.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in (Business) Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
  • You have at least 3 years’ professional experience in IT asset management, configuration management, lifecycle management or a comparable field of work
  • You are able to navigate complex IT landscapes thanks to your strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of processes and data quality
  • You tackle your tasks independently, in a structured and meticulous manner, and are happy to take on personal responsibility
  • You confidently identify technical requirements, prioritise them sensibly and coordinate them effectively with various stakeholders
  • With strong communication and presentation skills, you present yourself confidently and persuasively to specialist departments and impress others with your excellent command of German (C1) and good command of English (B2) in conversation
  • To fulfil this responsible role, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and have a permanent residence in Germany
