• You rewind paper rolls on the paper machine and carry out edge trimming, including checking the cut edge
• You will be responsible for changing blades and cleaning the edge extraction system in the event of blockages
• You will set the paper formats in accordance with specifications and check them
• You will inspect paper rolls and the paper web for defects (e.g. creases, holes, contaminants or surface damage)
• You repair tears in the paper, mark the rolls and pack them as required
• You document the roll data and report quality issues to the shift supervisor
• You carry out roll hardness measurements and assist the paper machine crew as required

• You have completed technical training, e.g. as a machine and plant operator (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification
• Experience in industry is desirable
• You hold a valid forklift and/or crane licence
• You are characterised by your willingness to work a five-shift system and your flexibility even outside the usual shift rota
• You work independently and meticulously
• A high degree of flexibility, reliability and the ability to work as part of a team round off your profile
• Valid work permits and a spoken knowledge of German are essential for employment
