Machine fitter maintenance (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• In this role, you will maintain, service, inspect, repair and overhaul plant and equipment in response to fault reports or in accordance with service and maintenance schedules
• You will analyse faults and malfunctions in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems using diagnostic systems
• You will determine or agree on the nature and scope of fault and damage rectification based on economic considerations; You make and implement proposals for rectifying damage
• You carry out repairs, upgrades and modifications to machinery and plant, prepare the documentation and train the machine operators
• You manufacture spare parts, additional equipment and auxiliary devices according to drawings, sketches, samples or instructions
• You propose measures for cost-effective maintenance and repair, as well as for the adaptation of maintenance standards
• You arrange for the procurement of parts and replace parts at your own discretion
• You carry out plant upkeep, maintenance and cleaning work at specific intervals in accordance with maintenance schedules, whilst ensuring optimal use of the plant
• You will highlight any necessary changes to drawings and documentation and amend them where required.

What we are looking for

• You have completed at least a 3-year apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d)
• You have professional experience in the maintenance of production plant
• Expertise in the fields of mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics is second nature to you
• Good written and spoken German, as well as a valid work permit, are part of your profile
• You are also willing to work shifts (2-shift system) and undertake further training
• An independent, structured and reliable approach to work, combined with the ability to work in a team, a confident manner and a high degree of initiative, round off your profile
