Machining mechanic turning technology (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• You will set up CNC lathes for machining long, rotationally symmetrical precision components such as piston rods, shafts and spindles
• Using technical drawings, work plans and inspection documents, you will manufacture the specified components
• You will set up clamping devices, tailstocks, centres and powered tools to suit the respective workpiece
• You will adapt existing CNC programmes directly on the machine and optimise them as required
• You check and monitor fits, tolerances, form and position tolerances, as well as surface specifications, during production
• You check run-out, concentricity and threads using suitable testing equipment
• In the event of any anomalies, you liaise with production planning, quality assurance and maintenance
• You keep your workstation clean and organised in accordance with the 5S standards

What we’re looking for

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a machining technician specialising in turning (m/f/d), an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) with sound CNC turning experience, or a toolmaker (m/f/d)
• Ideally, you have several years’ professional experience in CNC turning
• Experience in the manufacture of long, rotationally symmetrical precision components such as shafts, spindles or piston rods is an advantage
• You are confident in handling technical drawings, work plans and inspection documents
• You have a good understanding of fits, tolerances, and form and position tolerances
• Technical understanding, problem-solving skills and an independent, precise approach to work come naturally to you
• The ability to work in a team, reliability and open communication with production planning and quality assurance round off your profile
• You have a basic knowledge of spoken German and a valid work permit for Germany
