• You join metal parts using the MAG welding process to create sturdy components and assemblies
• Depending on the job, you also use other welding processes such as MIG and TIG
• Before welding, you prepare the components by cleaning, cutting to size and securing them
• Working from technical drawings, you produce welded joints with precise dimensions and to the required quality standards
• You align the components precisely and tack them in place before final welding
• You inspect your welds for visible defects and dimensional accuracy, and rework them if necessary
• You keep welding equipment, accessories and the workstation in good working order, whilst observing health and safety regulations

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), metalworker (m/f/d) or construction mechanic (m/f/d)
• You have experience in MAG welding; knowledge of MIG and TIG welding would be an advantage
• You have good manual dexterity and a steady hand
• You have a good understanding of technical matters
• You can read technical drawings and implement them with precision
• You work accurately and with concentration, even when carrying out repetitive tasks
• You reliably comply with health and safety regulations
• A basic spoken knowledge of German (minimum level) and a valid work permit round off your profile
