• You will carry out MAG and manual electric welding work on rail vehicles
• When carrying out maintenance and servicing on freight wagons, you will work either on-site or in the workshop, depending on the task
• Minor metalwork tasks, such as adjusting, assembling and dismantling components, form part of your duties in the maintenance of freight wagons
• You inspect welds and components for defects and repair damage professionally
• You carry out welding preparations, such as cutting to size, straightening and preparing the weld joints, independently
• Based on drawings and work specifications, you determine the appropriate welding processes and work steps

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a metalworker (m/f/d), metal fabricator (m/f/d), machining technician (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification
• you have experience in MAG and electric arc welding
• you are also able to read technical drawings and work to them
• A basic knowledge of German, both spoken and written, is one of your strengths
• A driving licence is also an advantage
• Technical understanding and manual dexterity come naturally to you
• The ability to work in a team, commitment, reliability and a proactive and confident approach to work are your strengths
