Materials tester (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Using a hammer and chisel, you’ll carry out button-hole tests on resistance spot welds
• You’ll test the strength of welded and press-fit joints using test machine-controlled compression, tensile and torque tests
• You will produce micrographs by cutting, grinding, polishing and etching the samples
• You will operate the cutting tool (angle grinder/plasma cutter) for sample preparation
• You carry out ultrasonic tests for quality control of components
• You operate and monitor the testing machines used independently
• You document the test results and draw up the corresponding test reports
• You record and report any anomalies and deviations found during the tests
• You assist with the evaluation and interpretation of the test data

What we’re looking for

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a materials tester (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d) or machining mechanic (m/f/d)
• You have a very good command of written and spoken German
• You have already gained experience in the safe operation of machinery and testing equipment
• You are familiar with the use of cutting tools such as angle grinders or plasma cutters
• You are characterised by independent thinking and a meticulous approach to your work
• You demonstrate perseverance and resilience, even when carrying out repetitive testing procedures
• You bring a strong sense of responsibility to your work
• Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team round off your profile
• A valid work permit is required
