For our customer Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH, a world-leading, listed technology company in the defence industry in Unterlüß, we are looking for you as a Materials Tester NDT Testing (m/f/d) as part of the temporary employment with takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the coordination, execution and evaluation of X-ray inspections to ensure the quality assurance of materials and provide accurate results for the project teams
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the safe handling of explosives and other hazardous components during the inspection processes, strictly observing all relevant safety regulations, to ensure a safe working environment
  • Furthermore, you will oversee the careful planning and construction of complex test configurations for the X-ray systems in order to optimally meet the specific requirements of the respective components and materials
  • The scheduling and organisation of radiographic testing is also one of your tasks, ensuring that schedules are adhered to and guaranteeing that the entire process runs smoothly
  • as part of your job, you will support the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of digital data and images of the tests by precisely documenting and interpreting deviations and irregularities
  • finally, you will be responsible for creating detailed radiographic test reports, carrying out preventive maintenance and servicing the X-ray systems to ensure continuous system availability and precise test results

Requirements

  • You have completed vocational training as an energy electronics technician (m/f/d), mechatronics technician (m/f/d) or industrial mechanic (m/f/d) as well as certificates in RT-F and RT-D level 2 according to EN ISO 9712 and have a comparable qualification
  • In addition, you have sound experience in operating the special software for controlling X-ray systems and have the necessary practical skills, to precisely control complex inspection processes
  • You are characterised by your solid knowledge of digital image processing and sound knowledge of radiation protection and the relevant standards for non-destructive radiographic testing
  • You have a native level of written and spoken German and a very good command of English to handle international supplier correspondence and negotiations
  • In addition, you have a high level of technical and mechanical analysis skills and a strong problem-solving ability, to overcome challenges in materials testing quickly and efficiently
  • Finally, you are technically adept and work in a structured and conscientious manner to ensure the high quality of your test results and fulfil all documentation requirements
