• You will advise customers in the medical supply shop on assistive devices and rehabilitation products and work with them to identify their individual care needs
• A key focus of your work is the provision of seat shells, where you assess needs, prepare fittings and coordinate adjustments
• You plan and document the provision of medical aids in accordance with the guidelines set by the funding bodies
• You draw up cost estimates and submit prescriptions and applications for approval to health insurance funds
• When dealing with health insurance funds, you check prescriptions, ensure compliance with contractual requirements and correctly bill for services rendered
• You hand over assistive devices to customers, instruct them on how to use them and document the handover
• You manage orders, goods receipts and stock levels for medical aids and accessories, and liaise with suppliers on these matters
• You coordinate repairs, maintenance and replacement supplies, and keep customer data and documentation up to date

• You have successfully completed a vocational qualification as a healthcare business administrator (m/f/d), medical assistant (m/f/d), orthopaedic technician (m/f/d) or retail sales assistant (m/f/d)
• You have prior experience in the provision of medical aids
• You have experience in supplying seat shells and are familiar with the processes from needs assessment through to fitting
• You are confident in dealing with health insurance providers, including checking prescriptions, cost estimates and billing for services
• You are confident in using an inventory management system and standard MS Office applications
• You work reliably and independently and can keep track of things even when handling several tasks simultaneously
