Your responsibilities

• You will melt and liquefy material in the steel furnace
• You will prepare the melting vessels and check them regularly to ensure they are in good working order
• You operate and monitor the furnace and plant control systems
• You take samples and carry out quality control checks on the molten material
• You actively support the team during casting and transport processes
• You ensure compliance with health and safety regulations when working with high temperatures
• You keep the work areas and tools used clean and in good working order

What we’re looking for

• Ideally, you will have completed an apprenticeship as a steelworker (m/f/d), metallurgist (m/f/d) or process mechanic for metallurgical engineering (m/f/d)
• Experience in metal or steel processing would be an advantage
• Your technical understanding is a strong point
• You have a good command of spoken German and hold a valid work permit
• You are willing to work shifts
• You are physically fit and able to work effectively even in high temperatures and noisy environments
• You are known for your meticulous and safety-conscious approach to work
