On behalf of our client, an international maritime electronics and sensor technology company based in Bremen, we are looking for you to join us as a Operational Purchaser (m/f/d) under a temporary employment contract with the option of a permanent role.

• You will be responsible for handling all operational procurement activities across all sites for the assigned product group and for documenting all procurement processes correctly in the system
• You will also be responsible for ensuring, on an ongoing basis, that materials are available on time, to a high standard and on favourable terms
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for the thorough checking of all incoming enquiry documents, such as specifications and drawings, for completeness and plausibility
• Conducting negotiations independently with suppliers regarding prices, delivery dates and operational procurement matters is also part of your remit
• As part of your role, you will support close coordination with counterparts in Production, Development and Quality Assurance on operational procurement matters
• Furthermore, you will support the regular maintenance of operational transaction and master data, as well as the reliable resolution of complex discrepancies
• Finally, you will be responsible for contributing to special projects aimed at the continuous improvement of procurement processes, as well as the implementation of product group strategies

• You have completed vocational training as an industrial clerk (m/f/d), a wholesale and foreign trade management clerk (m/f/d) or an office management clerk (m/f/d)
• you also have several years’ relevant professional experience in international technical procurement and in negotiating contracts independently
• your solid knowledge of standard MS Office applications and your advanced user skills in the SAP ERP system set you apart
• Your native-level command of written and spoken German, as well as your business-level proficiency in English, are key strengths in your day-to-day work
• Furthermore, you possess a high degree of teamwork, strong communication skills and an independent, process-oriented approach to your work
• Finally, you are solution-oriented and stand out for your structured approach and sound fundamental technical understanding
