• You will be responsible for polishing new optical mould inserts made of steel and nickel-phosphorus for injection moulding tools
• You will also be responsible for carrying out polishing trials using innovative polishing agents and equipment
• You will be responsible for the final polishing of diamond-turned polymer optical components
• You will also be responsible for cleaning and corrective polishing in the event of surface damage to optical mould inserts
• Furthermore, you will apply suitable measurement techniques, such as hand-held measuring instruments, microscopy and interferometry
• The evaluation of the results rounds off your role

• you have completed a vocational training programme, e.g. as a precision optician (m/f/d), or hold a comparable qualification
• you have already gained professional experience in optical manufacturing
• You are naturally confident in using measuring equipment
• Your understanding of quality-related inspection processes is a strong point
• Knowledge of the polishing process for metal optical components would be an advantage
• You have a good command of German and hold a valid work permit
• You are willing to work a two-shift system
• You are characterised by a detail-oriented, meticulous and structured approach to your work
