Optical Technician – Polishing Specialist (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• You will polish new optical components and mould inserts made of steel and nickel-phosphorus for injection moulding tools
• You will carry out polishing trials independently using innovative polishing agents and suitable polishing equipment
• You will be responsible for the final polishing of diamond-turned polymer optical components
• In the event of surface damage to optical mould inserts, you will clean and polish them
• You will use appropriate measurement techniques, such as hand-held measuring instruments, microscopy and interferometry, for quality control
• Evaluating the results rounds off your role

What we are looking for

• You have completed a vocational training programme, e.g. as a precision optician (m/f/d), or hold a comparable qualification
• You have already gained professional experience in optical manufacturing
• Knowledge of polishing metal optics would be an advantage
• Proficiency in German (C1 level) and a valid work permit are part of your profile
• You are willing to work a two-shift system
• You are known for your reliable work ethic
