• In this role, you will restore historic organs – such as instruments in the style of Silbermann or Ladegast – and return them to a playable condition
• You play an active part in the construction and repair of orchestral organs, including tuba and remote stop registers
• As a voicer, you tune and voice pipes to ensure the timbre and volume of each stop are correct
• You construct and repair wooden and metal organ pipes using traditional and modern methods
• You assemble and maintain mechanical, pneumatic and electronic components of organs and harmoniums
• You will read design documents and construction plans and implement them precisely in new builds and restoration projects
• You carry out repair and maintenance work on-site at customers’ premises and in churches
• In the workshop, you manufacture and machine individual parts for windchests, action mechanisms and casings
• You will test the sound and function of the finished instruments and make fine adjustments where necessary
• You will work as part of a team with experienced organ builders, whilst continuously learning new techniques in organ and harmonium building

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as an organ and harmonium builder (m/f/d), joiner (m/f/d) or precision engineer (m/f/d)
• You have a good command of written and spoken German, as well as a valid work permit
• You are willing to work outside the workshop, visiting clients and in churches
• You possess manual dexterity and a keen ear for subtle differences in sound
• You have a strong technical understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic components
• You work carefully and precisely, even with intricate wooden and metal components
• A love of detailed craftsmanship and artistic sensitivity are to your advantage
