• You will inspect large painted components, such as steel tube towers and tower segments, for paint defects, inclusions, runs and unevenness, and document the need for rework in accordance with quality specifications
• you will also sand painted surfaces by hand and using machinery to remove irregularities, paint drips, flow marks and contaminants
• You will also sand transition areas for repainting to create a bonding surface and achieve a clean, even finish in accordance with surface specifications
• You will prepare surfaces for reworking, for example by cleaning, degreasing and masking
• you will also carry out repainting and touch-ups on damaged areas using spray or brush application, whilst adhering to specifications for colour shade, film thickness and gloss level
• You also monitor drying and curing times, as well as coat thicknesses and other test parameters, in accordance with specifications
• You document the finishing steps carried out and liaise with Quality Assurance in the event of anomalies or borderline cases

• you have some initial experience as a painter’s assistant (m/f/d), ideally in the metalworking sector
• furthermore, knowledge of how to use tools and of health and safety regulations would be an advantage
• A basic knowledge of German and a valid work permit are an advantage
• You are willing to work shifts and carry out physical tasks
• You also have good manual dexterity and a meticulous approach to your work
