• You will be responsible for the safe and cost-effective operation of the in-house sewage treatment plant, as well as for order, safety and environmental protection within the plant’s premises
• You will be responsible for monitoring and optimising the biological, chemical and mechanical wastewater treatment processes
• You will also be responsible for monitoring relevant process and environmental parameters and ensuring compliance with regulatory limits
• Analysing and evaluating laboratory and operational data will also form part of your remit
• You will be responsible for root cause analysis in the event of malfunctions and for implementing appropriate corrective measures
• You will work closely with Production, the Laboratory, Maintenance and Environmental Management
• In addition, you will assist with liaising with regulatory authorities, audits and certifications
• Carrying out and documenting internal checks, as well as preparing reports and analyses, round off your role

• a completed apprenticeship, e.g. as a paper technologist (m/f/d), paper maker (m/f/d) or a comparable technical qualification
• ideally, you will already have gained professional experience in the operation of an industrial wastewater treatment plant or in the field of water and wastewater technology
• you have a good understanding of paper-making processes and their impact on wastewater treatment
• your technical understanding and interest in environmental and process engineering are strong points in your favour
• you are naturally confident in using MS Office applications
• You are a team player with strong communication skills and a solution-oriented, responsible and independent approach to your work
