Job description

  • You will be responsible for processing the monthly payroll for all staff independently and on time, whilst complying with all legal requirements
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring that all reporting requirements are met correctly and for the ongoing reconciliation of accounts with the financial accounting department
  • Furthermore, as a knowledgeable point of contact, you will handle all queries raised by clients regarding income tax law and the complex field of social security law
  • Providing support during upcoming audits by social security and pension insurance authorities is also part of your day-to-day duties in this role
  • As part of your role, you will support the continuous and meticulous maintenance of all personnel files, including structured monitoring of deadlines in your day-to-day work
  • Furthermore, you will actively support the HR team in the comprehensive administrative processing of all employee join and leave procedures
  • Finally, you will be responsible for the correct maintenance of master data and the confidential management of all personnel-related data in the system during day-to-day operations

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed further training as a Certified Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) as well as an apprenticeship as a Tax Clerk (m/f/d) or Office Management Assistant (m/f/d)
  • You also have several years’ solid professional experience in carrying out payroll accounting independently, as well as in administrative HR tasks
  • Your confident use of the standard software applications DATEV and MS Office is a particular strength in your day-to-day work
  • You have native-level proficiency in spoken and written German, as well as a good understanding of specialist payroll terminology
  • Furthermore, you demonstrate a high degree of conscientiousness and exceptional reliability when handling confidential HR data
  • Finally, you are a team player and always work independently, in a structured manner and to a high standard of quality in your own work
  • To fulfil this responsible role, in addition to your professional expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be permanently resident in Germany
