Job description

On behalf of our client, a medium-sized freight forwarding and logistics services company based in Mittelbach, we are looking for you to join us as a Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) as part of a temporary placement scheme with the option of a permanent role.

  • You will be responsible for the monthly payroll processing for around 150 industrial and commercial staff, in compliance with legal requirements
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring that all reporting and certification procedures are carried out on time, including registering employees with the relevant social security authorities
  • you will also oversee the ongoing maintenance and updating of all personnel-related master data in the payroll system and in the digital personnel files
  • providing expert support and advice to staff on all matters relating to tax and social security law will also form part of your daily duties
  • As part of your role, you will provide solution-oriented support with correspondence with health insurance funds, tax offices and public authorities on all matters relating to payroll
  • Furthermore, you will assist in the preparation of statistics, analyses and reports for the Controlling department and for HR management

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship as an Office Management Assistant (m/f/d), Industrial Business Administrator (m/f/d) or Tax Clerk (m/f/d)
  • you also have at least 1 to 2 years’ solid practical professional experience in independently handling payroll
  • Your confident user skills in DATEV and Lotus Notes set you apart in your day-to-day use of modern software solutions
  • You have a high level of proficiency in spoken and written German, enabling professional and smooth communication within the company
  • Furthermore, you demonstrate a high degree of diligence, a strong sense of responsibility and discretion when handling confidential personnel data
  • Finally, you are a strong team player, service-oriented and always work independently, in a structured manner and to high standards
  • To fulfil this position of responsibility, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and have a permanent residence in Germany
