Powder coater (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• You’ll operate the paint booth, including the pre-heating oven and the power-and-free conveyor
• You’ll prepare the parts for powder coating and mask off relevant areas in accordance with instructions
• In the case of recesses and surface irregularities, you will carry out filling work followed by sanding
• You will select the appropriate coating parameters according to the geometry and set these on the control unit of the electrostatic spray gun
• You optimise the hanging points, document the results and forward them
• After cooling in the cooling zone, you remove the masking and unhang the parts, pack and pick them in accordance with the work order and order, and apply any necessary labelling
• You carry out a visual inspection, measure the specified coating thickness and save the recorded values in the measuring device
• You carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks in accordance with the specifications

What we’re looking for

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a process mechanic for coating technology (m/f/d), a surface coater (m/f/d) or a paint finisher (m/f/d)
• You have professional experience in surface coating
• You have knowledge of working with two-component coating systems
• You are characterised by manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• you have a keen eye for visual inspections and work with precision when carrying out measurement and documentation tasks
• you are familiar with using standard IT systems, including SAP, for order confirmation
• you have a good command of written and spoken German
• A valid work permit is required
• You work carefully and reliably, even when carrying out repetitive tasks
