• You will assess pigments and preparations from a colour perspective and evaluate the results
• You will determine physical test characteristics reliably and in accordance with the applicable specifications
• You will be responsible for the physical measurement equipment and ensure that the instruments are in working order
• You will examine raw materials for their quality and suitability for production
• You will carry out qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses
• You analyse samples using MIR measurements and IR spectroscopy and interpret the spectra
• Once the tests are complete, you release the tested batches in SAP
• You document test results and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and maintain the data in the systems
• You prepare samples and keep your laboratory workstation clean and tidy

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory technician (m/f/d), paint laboratory technician (m/f/d) or chemical technician (m/f/d)
• You have around 2 years’ professional experience in a laboratory environment
• You have experience in chemical analysis and IR spectroscopy
• You are familiar with SAP and MS Office (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets)
• Experience with laboratory information systems is an advantage
• You have a good command of written and spoken English
• You have a basic command of spoken German (minimum level)
• You work in a structured, meticulous and independent manner
• You have strong organisational skills
• A valid work permit is required
