• You load bins from the kerb into the mechanism on the refuse collection lorry and allow them to be emptied automatically
• You accompany collection vehicles on fixed routes and work safely on public roads
• You pull, position and secure waste bins, whether they contain general waste, organic waste, paper or recyclables
• You assist the driver with manoeuvring and consistently follow safety and work instructions
• You check bins for overfilling, incorrect waste disposal or blocked access points and report any incidents to the dispatch team
• You ensure the loading area is tidy and clean and handle personal protective equipment correctly
• You work outdoors in all weathers and usually start early in the morning

• Ideally, you will have some initial experience in waste management, logistics or the trades
• You must be physically fit, as lifting, pulling and walking long distances are all part of the job
• A basic knowledge of German will enable you to correctly follow the driver’s instructions and safety briefings
• You hold a valid work permit
• You are prepared to start work early, shift work, overtime and working in all weathers
• You are characterised by reliability, punctuality and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as taking good care of customers’ property
