• You will allocate lorries and assign vehicles to upcoming transport orders
• In line with customer requirements, you will plan routes and optimise them in terms of route, capacity utilisation and delivery times
• You coordinate assignments, procedures and last-minute changes with the drivers
• You liaise with customers, clarify delivery dates and any special requirements, and keep them informed of the status of their shipments
• You coordinate service providers and subcontractors and, where necessary, outsource transport orders
• You enter orders and route data into the dispatch system and update them on an ongoing basis
• In the event of delays, cancellations or disruptions to operations, you develop timely solutions and adjust the schedule
• You monitor ongoing routes and ensure that delivery times are met
• You check delivery notes, transport documents and supporting evidence and prepare them for invoicing

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a freight forwarding clerk (m/f/d), a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or a transport services clerk (m/f/d)
• You have experience in truck dispatching and route planning
• You are characterised by organisational skills and a keen sense for efficient route and time planning
• When dealing with drivers, customers and service providers, you impress with your strong communication skills and confident manner
• You work reliably and meticulously, and maintain a clear overview even when faced with last-minute changes
• You are also confident in using standard MS Office applications
