• You manage the lorry fleet and allocate vehicles and drivers (m/f/d) to upcoming transport orders
• You plan and optimise routes with regard to deadlines, capacity utilisation, routes and cost-effectiveness
• You liaise regularly with drivers regarding assignments, procedures and last-minute changes
• You maintain contact with customers and external service providers, clarify transport enquiries and deadlines, and coordinate collections and deliveries
• During the routes, you monitor the progress of the transport and respond to delays, disruptions or cancellations with appropriate solutions
• You lead the Dispatch department, allocate tasks and provide your team with professional guidance in day-to-day operations
• You prepare transport documents, order data and route invoices, and maintain them carefully in the system
• When planning operations, you ensure compliance with driving and rest periods as well as legal and company requirements

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a freight forwarding clerk (m/f/d), a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or a transport services clerk (m/f/d)
• Initial experience in managing or providing technical guidance to a team would be an advantage
• Even in the event of delays or last-minute changes, you maintain a clear overview and quickly find practical solutions
• You are characterised by a structured, meticulous approach to maintaining order data and transport documents
• You are also confident in using a PC and transport and dispatch software
• You demonstrate a sense of responsibility and assertiveness when working with your team
