Sandblasting of gearbox components Inspecting surfaces: Analysing the condition of the workpiece Selecting the blasting medium: Choosing the appropriate material (e.g. glass beads) Protecting the surrounding area: Mask off areas not to be treated. Operating the equipment: Set up compressors and blasting chambers and regulate the working pressure. Treating surfaces: Blast away rust, old paint, scale or dirt. Roughening: Prepare surfaces for subsequent painting or anti-corrosion measures. Cleaning: Remove any residual blasting material from the workpiece. Maintenance: Clean and maintain the blasting system, nozzles and filters. Health and safety: Wear full protective clothing (such as a safety helmet with a fresh air supply and ear protection) and observe safety regulations. 2 shifts: 06:00 – 15:00, 08:45 – 17:30
