• You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and optimisation of the entire manufacturing process chain for high-precision micro-optics, whilst adhering to strict quality criteria
• You will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of precision machining, from drawing review through to CNC programming and metrology
• You will also oversee interdisciplinary research and development projects aimed at increasing productivity and ensuring the successful launch of new optical products
• Your wide-ranging responsibilities will also include the meticulous production of prototypes and the seamless execution of independent tests and precision measurements
• As part of your role, you will support the proactive evaluation of new, innovative technologies, as well as the qualification and supervision of specialist suppliers
• Furthermore, you will support seamless project management, including applications for external funding and the structured documentation of all development stages
• Finally, you will be responsible for drawing up detailed work instructions and conducting targeted training sessions for production staff

• You have successfully completed a degree in engineering (m/f/d) in the field of mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, microsystems technology or a comparable relevant discipline
• You also have several years’ professional experience in production organisation, as well as proven expertise in CNC technology and precision machining
• You stand out thanks to your solid knowledge of programming automated processes and your proficiency in using measuring instruments and databases
• You have excellent command of German at native speaker level, as well as very good English skills for day-to-day communication within the department
• Furthermore, you bring a strong team spirit, excellent communication skills and a keen capacity for analytical thinking
• You are also characterised by a solution-oriented, hands-on approach and always work in a responsible and highly structured manner
• To fulfil this role of responsibility, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and have a permanent residence in Germany
