• You read and understand shipbuilding drawings as the basis for your day-to-day work
• Working from drawings, you erect walls and frame beams for the ship’s hull
• You fabricate and align complex shipbuilding components such as sections and double bottoms
• Flame cutting, grinding and tack-welding components are part of your daily tasks
• You fit components precisely according to the drawings before they are welded
• You tack-weld walls, frame beams and other components together professionally
• You check the dimensions and fit of the fabricated components before further processing
• You play an active role in assembling individual sections into larger sub-assemblies

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a

shipbuilder (m/f/d), metalworker (m/f/d), fitter (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification

• you have practical experience in flame cutting, grinding and tack-welding components
• you are also able to read shipbuilding drawings and work to them
• You have a basic knowledge of German, both spoken and written
• You demonstrate a willingness to work shifts and at weekends
• Technical understanding and manual dexterity come naturally to you
• The ability to work in a team, commitment, reliability and a self-reliant and safe approach to work are your strong points
• A valid work permit for Germany rounds off your profile
