• You will manufacture individual shipbuilding components and sections in accordance with technical documentation, using both manual and machine-based production processes
• Following drawings and specifications, you will assemble the manufactured components into sections and sub-assemblies
• You will independently produce temporary structures for fabrication and assembly
• You will tack-weld components to prepare them for subsequent welding work
• You will use testing and measuring equipment to continuously check the dimensional accuracy of your components
• Where required, you will weld components as part of your welder’s examinations
• You move components and materials to their designated locations using a crane

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a

mechanical fitter (m/f/d), metalworker (m/f/d),

shipbuilder (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification

• You hold valid welding certificates in accordance with 138 FW FM1 M t13 PD ml and 136 FW FM1 P t13 PF ml
• You hold a crane operator’s licence
• You are also able to read technical drawings and work to them
• A basic knowledge of German, both spoken and written, is one of your strengths
• Technical understanding and manual dexterity come naturally to you
• The ability to work in a team, commitment, reliability and a proactive and safe approach to work are your strengths
• A valid work permit for Germany rounds off your profile
