Job description
You will be responsible for designing and adapting video processing chains in FPGAs; this involves commissioning the designed solutions on the hardware. You will also carry out the synthesis, simulation and verification of the designs independently; you will programme in VHDL/Verilog, C/C++ and Python, and maintain build processes using CMake. You will also develop and test your solutions using the Vivado/Vitis toolchain and the Ultrascale+ MPSoC. Furthermore, you will integrate video protocols such as CoaxPress, SDI, FPD-Link or GMSL into the processing chains; in close coordination with the software developers, you will agree on interfaces and requirements; you will also plan and implement software development using an agile SCRUM approach; furthermore, you will utilise Git workflows as well as CI/CD pipelines for version control, building and testing your code. Last but not least, acting as the link between software development and project management, you’ll take a responsible approach to documentation, communication and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related subject with a focus on software development
- You also have very good programming skills in VHDL/Verilog, C/C++, Python and CMake
- You have excellent knowledge of the Vivado/Vitis toolchain and experience working with the Ultrascale+ MPSoC
- You have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and the Git workflow
- You also have knowledge of video theory and experience with video protocols such as CoaxPress, SDI, FPD-Link or GMSL
- Several years’ professional experience as a software architect (m/f/d) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Yocto, Buildroot, Docker, GStreamer, CUDA, AI development or embedded devices is a plus
