Job description

  • You will assume project responsibility for the coordination and technical management of complex urban development projects and future-oriented planning within the entire urban area
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the well-founded development of sustainable structural concepts as well as the detailed elaboration of urban development framework plans for various neighbourhoods
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for the preparation urban development framework plans for various neighbourhoods
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating demanding urban development competition procedures and multiple open space planning commissions to ensure a high level of design quality
  • the preparation of legally compliant development plans, planning law statutes and local building regulations is also one of your responsible tasks in the context of urban development
  • as part of your work, you will support the urban development and planning law assessment of individual construction measures to ensure an orderly and harmonious overall urban development
  • finally, you will be responsible for the independent presentation and professional representation of all plan contents within the framework of political committee work and active public participation

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a university degree as an urban planner (m/f/d), architect (m/f/d) or civil engineer (m/f/d) with a specialisation in urban planning or urban development
  • In addition, you have several years of relevant professional experience in the field of municipal urban planning and in the management of technically complex and time-consuming planning processes
  • Your sound knowledge in the application of applicable planning law as well as the relevant relevant specialist law characterise you as a professionally competent personality for this important position
  • Your spoken and written German language skills at native speaker level and your precise way of expressing yourself are absolutely essential for communicating with citizens and committees
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of negotiating skills and strong communication skills, to successfully moderate different interests in the planning processes in a goal-oriented manner
  • Finally, you are characterised by your creative drive and your own initiative and always work in an absolutely independent, structured manner and with a high level of personal determination
