• You will be responsible for the careful processing and legal review of incoming applications for the authorisation of complex heavy-goods transport operations at the Thuringian State Office for Transport
• You will also be responsible for the precise analysis of transport routes with regard to all relevant geometric and structural parameters along the route
• Furthermore, you will oversee the professional assessment of carriageway widths and curve radii, making extensive use of a specially developed in-house software solution
• The expert assessment of sections of road and infrastructure structures at risk of bottlenecks is also part of your day-to-day duties at the Erfurt site
• As part of your role, you will support the relevant specialist departments with special technical inspections and the validation of challenging heavy haulage routes
• Furthermore, you will facilitate smooth coordination with authorities and relevant specialist bodies as part of the ongoing application process
• Finally, you will be responsible for the comprehensive documentation of all test results and for issuing the recommendation for approval of the official exemption

• You have successfully completed a degree in civil engineering, transport engineering or geoinformatics as an engineer (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
• you also have solid professional experience in route planning, infrastructure analysis or the approval process for heavy-goods and oversized transport
• Your confident use of common geoinformation systems and application-specific software solutions sets you apart in your day-to-day work
• Your business-fluent written and spoken German, as well as your strong ITskills perfectly round off your professional profile
• Furthermore, you possess a high degree of analytical thinking, a meticulous approach to work and a strong technical aptitude
• Finally, you are extremely reliable, goal-oriented and work both completely independently and very cooperatively within a public sector environment
