• You will lead your warehouse team, plan their work and motivate them, including duty, holiday and shift planning
• As the point of contact for your staff, you will oversee induction and training and conduct staff appraisals
• You will be involved in the recruitment process
• You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and accident prevention measures in the warehouse
• You will procure raw materials and supplies as required
• You negotiate prices and terms with suppliers yourself, thereby securing good value for money
• You regularly evaluate suppliers and build robust supplier relationships
• You ensure a smooth and timely supply of materials to production
• You plan stock levels and order times proactively to avoid bottlenecks and excess stock
• To this end, you liaise closely with production and planning
• You handle correspondence with hauliers and suppliers, for example regarding enquiries, orders, scheduling and complaints
• You organise and coordinate incoming and outgoing goods
• You prepare freight and dispatch documents, such as delivery notes and consignment notes, and check them for accuracy

• a completed apprenticeship as a warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d), Freight Forwarding Clerk (m/f/d) or Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (m/f/d), ideally supplemented by further training to become a Master Craftsman (m/f/d) or Logistics Specialist (m/f/d)
• You have some initial experience in managing staff
• You have knowledge of transport and freight documents
• You are proficient in using merchandise management systems and MS Office
• You hold a valid forklift licence
• You have a good command of written and spoken German
• You are willing to work shifts
• You also have a vehicle to get to the workplace
• Organisational skills, reliability and the ability to work as part of a team are your strengths
• A valid work permit for Germany rounds off your profile
