• You will weld flat and three-dimensional structures in accordance with specifications
• You will weld components made from various materials, grade classes and dimensions, and ensure a dimensionally accurate, low-distortion and high-quality finish
• You operate fully mechanised and automatic welding systems independently; You set up welding systems of various designs in accordance with welding instructions and adjust settings as required
• You clean weld seams, remove external and internal irregularities and check the quality of the workmanship
• You select and use lifting equipment, lifting gear and transport equipment, and use them correctly
• As part of your role, you will provide technical guidance to apprentices (m/f/d) and work experience students within your pay band

• You have completed vocational training as a construction fitter (m/f/d)
• You can provide evidence of a welding or operator’s examination in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9606-1 to -4 / DIN EN ISO 14732 in common shipyard welding processes
• You excel in various welding techniques such as MAG welding, electrode welding, submerged arc welding or TIG welding
• Knowledge of German and English is an advantage
• You are willing to work in other specialist areas of the shipyard
• A valid work permit rounds off your profile
