• You operate the sawing equipment (e.g. frame saw, cross-cut saw, edging machine) to process raw timber into sawn timber
• Depending on the order and timber dimensions, you adjust and reconfigure the machines
• You sort and classify sawn timber according to quality, dimensions and intended use
• You assist with the planing of boards and squared timber
• You produce pallets and process by-products further
• You check the finished goods for dimensional accuracy, surface quality and defects
• You independently rectify faults in the sawmill equipment and production line
• You will operate industrial trucks such as forklift trucks and cranes to transport raw timber and finished goods
• You will be responsible for storing and retrieving timber at the raw timber yard and in the sawn timber warehouse
• You will carry out minor maintenance work on machinery and equipment as part of routine maintenance and upkeep
• You will consistently ensure safety, order and cleanliness at your workplace

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a woodworking mechanic (m/f/d), woodworking mechanic (m/f/d) or sawmill operator (m/f/d); ideally, you’ll also have comparable professional experience in a sawmill or in the timber processing industry
• A forklift licence would be an advantage
• Your technical understanding and manual dexterity are key strengths
• You have a good command of spoken German and hold a valid work permit
• You are willing to work a two-shift system
• You are a team player, physically fit and reliable
