Job description

  • You will manage the workshop specialising in bodywork, paintwork, accident and hail damage repairs, both technically and organisationally
  • You will manage all repair orders independently, taking into account quality, cost-effectiveness and adherence to deadlines
  • You will plan and coordinate workshop capacity and staff deployment optimally
  • The technical supervision and professional development of workshop staff fall within your remit
  • You will ensure compliance with manufacturers’ specifications, repair methods and quality standards
  • You will carry out the final inspection and authorisation of repaired vehicles
    You will work closely with operations management, customer service, Costing and Claims Management
  • You are responsible for health and safety, order and cleanliness in the workshop area

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed an apprenticeship in the automotive trade, ideally as a bodywork and vehicle mechanic or an automotive mechatronics technician
  • You have obtained a Master Craftsman’s qualification
  • Several years’ professional experience in a motor vehicle, bodywork or paint shop would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of modern repair and maintenance methods is one of your strengths
  • You have experience using workshop management systems and standard MS Office applications
  • You hold a Class B driving licence
  • Reliability and the ability to work as part of a team are second nature to you
