Job description

  • In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the monthly payroll processing using Sage, including all upstream and downstream processes, whilst taking into account statutory, collective agreement, company and employment contract regulations
  • You will handle specific payroll matters, in particular partial retirement, short-time working and company pension schemes
  • You will prepare and manage the HR-related monthly and annual closing processes, and work closely with Finance on payment instructions and account reconciliations
  • You will prepare and further develop HR reporting, as well as compile relevant HR key figures, statistics and HR analyses
  • You will prepare and manage HR budget planning as part of the annual workforce planning process
  • You will act as the point of contact for external bodies such as tax authorities, health insurance funds, social security providers and employers’ liability insurance associations
  • You will prepare for and support internal and external audits
  • You will advise staff and managers on matters relating to payroll accounting, as well as on issues concerning collective agreements, employment law and human resources management

Requirements

  • You are resident in Germany and hold a valid work and residence permit for Germany
