As part of a large-scale data centre relocation, applications are being migrated in stages to newly deployed infrastructure at the destination site. Responsibilities The Streamlead for Application Migration & Re-Deployment is responsible for the organisational and operational management of this process, liaising between infrastructure teams, application operations, system owners and other stakeholders. The technical implementation of the individual activities is carried out by the respective specialist teams. The Stream Lead ensures that all parties involved work together in a coordinated manner, that dependencies are transparent and that the migrations are implemented on schedule. The Stream Lead bears overall organisational responsibility for managing application migrations, from setting up the target infrastructure through to redeployment and release, right up to the handover for the decommissioning of the legacy systems. The focus of the role lies on coordination, transparency, schedule management, stakeholder management and escalation management. The technical implementation of the migrations is carried out by the respective specialist teams. The Streamlead ensures that all parties involved carry out the correct activities at the right time and that any obstacles that arise are quickly resolved.
