On behalf of our client, an established company specialising in optical measurement and testing technology, we are seeking a dedicated project manager (m/f/d) on a temporary assignment to cover sick leave and parental leave.

Your responsibilities

You will plan, coordinate and optimise development and client projects – from scheduling and the allocation of staff and resources right through to client requirements, verification and validation. You will lead cross-functional project teams and ensure a smooth flow of information. You will collate and link work packages and, based on these, draw up timelines and project plans at three risk levels: Lead Time, Timeline and Project Plan. In MS Project or comparable tools, you will undertake task-based time and workload planning. You will optimise the overall project schedule, taking into account interdependencies between tasks, workload and resources. You will bear responsibility for the overall success of the project – always with an eye on time, cost and quality. In close dialogue with subject matter experts, you define, validate and optimise work packages. You collaborate with Systems Engineering to jointly ensure the project’s success

What we’re looking for

• You hold a Master’s degree in a technical subject or have a comparable qualification
• You have several years’ professional experience in carrying out and managing development projects, as well as in providing technical leadership to project team members
• You are well versed in optical metrology and image quality measurement
• You possess a basic understanding of project management and fundamental IT skills (MS Project, Office, etc.)
• You are familiar with task-based scheduling (project structure plan, baseline plan, resource planning)
• Knowledge of our client’s business processes would be an advantage
• You approach your tasks in a results- and solution-oriented manner
• A strong focus on service and customer satisfaction, as well as excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, round off your profile
• You have business-fluent English and German
• You are willing to undertake occasional business travel amounting to up to 20 per cent – e.g. for commissioning or client visits
